Every donation, registration, and act of participation helps purchase essential equipment, improve infrastructure, and provide direct support to patients.
The Roses Radiothon is an annual initiative of the hospital foundations of Bathurst (Chaleur), Caraquet, Lamèque, and Tracadie.
Since 2006, the Northern Star campaign has been shining in many ways to help acquire equipment aimed at improving healthcare right here at home!

When the community comes together, the results are clear: new equipment, improved services, modernized units, and better support for patients.
In the emergency room, every minute counts—and so does every action taken to protect our patients. The vital signs monitors we currently use require rigorous cleaning between every patient, multiple times a day. Despite our best efforts, the risk of contamination is always present. Adding new wall-mounted units for each observation room would make a real difference. They would significantly reduce handling, speed up our response times, and, most importantly, provide a safer environment for everyone. Supporting this project means contributing directly to the quality and safety of the care we provide to our community.
As a nurse at the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† de Caraquet for several years, I see firsthand every day how state-of-the-art equipment can transform our patients' care journey. Thanks to the Foundation's support, we have access to essential resources that make our work more efficient while improving the quality of life for those we care for. I am proud to work in an institution where every act of generosity translates into better health for our community.
Every day, I see the direct impact of medical equipment on the quality of care we provide to our patients. In an operating room, every second and every detail counts. Having the best technology can make a complex procedure faster, safer, and less invasive for the patient. As a surgeon, my role is to ensure the best possible care, but I cannot do it alone.
